Rap and Hip-Hop are wonderfully diverse and expressive styles of music. The songs can be playful, rebellious, angsty, educational, inspiring...often all at the same time! This week, you’ll be making mixes that shine a spotlight on some of the most revolutionary genres of music: Rap & Hip-Hop.

Your task is to make a mix using the Vocal Adlibs–featured instrument and only R&B, Rap/Hip-Hop, Latin/Caribbean, and Dance songs.

Submissions will be accepted until December 20 at 8:59 PM PT / 11: 59 PM ET (December 21 at 4:59 UTC / 5:59 CET). Any submissions voted into the top 50% will receive the Abstract Expression Makeup Body Paint. Mixes in the top 5% will earn the Hexagonal Tattoo, and for voting on other mixes, players will be able to keep the Vocal Adlibs Custom Instrument in their crate once awards have been distributed.

After you record and submit your mix, the community will vote on their favorites. Voting starts on December 21 at 9:01 PM PT (December 22 at 12:01 AM ET / 5:01 AM UTC / 6:01 AM CET), and lasts until December 27 at 8: 59 PT / 11:59 PM ET (December 28 at 4:59 AM UTC / 5: 59 CET).

You are limited to what genres you can use, but you can bring a full Crate of up to twenty-four songs and 8 Custom Instruments with you. With no decade restrictions, we’re excited to see some incredibly unique mixes. Take advantage of Audio Effects and Custom Instruments when you record your submission for this challenge. With the genre restrictions for this Event, these tools offer all the sounds and textures you might feel are missing without your favorite Pop or Country tracks available to you.

The Rap Spotlight Event is live now, and mix submissions will be accepted until December 20 at 8:59 PM PT / 11: 59 PM ET (December 21 4:59 UTC / 5:59 CET).

Voting for the Rock Vintage Event start starts today at 9:01 PM PT (December 15 at 12:01 AM ET / 5:01 AM UTC / 6:01 AM CET), and lasts until December 20 at 8: 59 PT / 11:59 PM ET (December 21 at 4:59 AM UTC / 5:59 CET) to cast your vote!

We want to see what you create! After you submit, be sure to share your mixes with us on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook and tag us so we can enjoy your set!
